For our client operating in the banking and payment transaction processing environment, we are looking for a Payment Expert to join their team in Bratislava. This role involves leading requirement discussions with clients and gathering business requirements from banks or financial institutions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Draft end-to-end merchant acquiring solutions for banks or financial institutions.
- Ensure successful implementation of merchant solutions through effective requirement gathering and solution identification.
- Analyze, research, and resolve functional queries from internal teams and third parties.
- Interact and communicate effectively with internal departments.
- Possess sound knowledge of acquiring solutions, platforms, systems, with technical knowledge as a plus.
- Act as a consultant, understanding system parameters and options.
- Identify systemic and business-impacting trends and escalate appropriately.
- Be flexible to travel and work at the client location in Vienna, Austria.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree from a renowned university or college.
- At least 5-6 years of experience in the payment card industry.
- Extensive SME functional knowledge in Merchant Acquiring Solutions, including payment gateway, authorization switches, scheme clearing & settlements, merchant pricing, interchange and scheme fees, financial reconciliations.
- Strong organizational, planning, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Analytical skills with an understanding of industry metrics and trends.
- Experience working on payment systems and understanding end-to-end merchant acquiring and payment solutions.
- Fluency in English
- 5 days office presence in Bratislava.
- Additional preferred skills: German speaker, understanding of ECR integrations (ZVT, OPI), experience in the Austrian payment market.
