Databricks Engineer (remote)

We are looking for a skilled Databricks Engineer for our Austrian client. This position is remote with occasional travel to Bratislava or Vienna. Project specifications will be presented during the interview process.

Job Description:           

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytical solutions
• Focus on developing efficient and robust solutions
• Cooperate with cross-functional teams sharing and using best practices
• Ensure data availability, quality, and performance for business-critical operations
• Using PySpark, SQL, and other relevant tools to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines 
• Design and implement processes for ingesting, transforming, and integrating data
• Utilize Databricks tools and features such as Delta Lake, MLflow, Workflows, and Databricks SQL
• Administer Databricks clusters, optimizing workloads to balance cost and performance effectively
• Ensure strong data governance, security, and performance optimization
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Business Teams to gather requirements and deliver meaningful insights

Requirements:

• Must haves: APEX Databricks, SQL, py-spark, git, devops, yaml
• Practical experience preferably banking area, or retail industry
• English language B2
