IT governance specialist

We are currently seeking an experienced IT Governance Specialist for our client in the banking sector, based in Bratislava. The ideal candidate will play a key role in shaping and maintaining a robust IT governance and management framework. This includes ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards, as well as contributing to the development of documentation, processes, and tools that support effective IT governance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the ongoing development and improvement of the IT governance and management framework

• Monitor compliance with internal IT policies and external regulatory requirements

• Develop, implement, and maintain IT governance policies, standards, and procedures

• Create and maintain clear, structured IT governance documentation

• Work hands-on with internal governance and IT management tools

• Prepare and deliver reports and presentations for stakeholders

• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly language

• Collaborate closely with both technical and functional teams

• Work independently, demonstrating ownership and initiative

• Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support decision-making

Requirements:

• Solid understanding of IT governance frameworks and enterprise IT environments

• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal, including presentation delivery

• Advanced English proficiency (minimum level C1)

• Proven experience in the banking sector

• Hands-on experience with MS365, JIRA, Archer, ServiceNow, and PowerPoint
