Our customer had existing commissioning management software accessible via a web browser as a regular web application or as an iOS app available in the App Store.
A platform for teamwork on projects
The application lets users manage multiple projects. It synchronizes data changes between the client and the application server. Multiple users can work on the same project simultaneously across different platforms (iOS, web, Android). Advanced server-side algorithms ensure data integrity and correctness when the same project is used in parallel by different users. Various files and file types (e.g. images or PDFs) can be attached to each project. Users can also add annotations to these files, displayed in a layer above the file. This annotation layer can be edited as needed.
Field observations and documenting project progress
Field observations let users document their progress on site activities. These observations can be used by various project roles, including architects, engineers or consultants. Field observation management also includes the ability to create and edit comments with attached images.
Issue tracking
The application enables effective collaboration on resolving design and construction issues, which may originate from various sources such as field observations or tests. Issues can include defects, questions or comments. The application supports a flow between different issue states, which may lead to creating additional tasks or assigning an issue to different people. It also includes issue templates that simplify creating new issues.
