General Description
For a client delivering projects in the public sector, we are looking for an experienced process solutions developer to work with IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) and IBM Business Automation Manager Open Editions (BAMOE) platforms.
Your role will be to design and implement the automation of business processes and decision rules for public administration customers. You will be involved in the entire solution lifecycle – from requirements analysis and technical design through implementation to deployment and production support.
What will you be doing?
- Design, develop, and implement process applications on the IBM BAW platform.
- Model and implement processes using BPMN 2.0 and create decision rules in DMN and Drools within the IBM BAMOE environment.
- Integrate process solutions with surrounding information systems.
- Create technical solution designs, estimate effort, and make technical decisions within the project.
- Perform code reviews, establish development standards, and oversee the quality of delivered solutions, including testing and defining completion criteria.
- Collaborate with analysts and the customer to clarify requirements, design solutions, and accept deliverables.
- Support the deployment of solutions to production, analyze and resolve incidents, and optimize performance.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior and mid-level developers.
Requirements
IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW)
- At least 3 years of practical experience developing on the IBM BAW platform or its predecessor, IBM BPM, as part of production projects.
- Good knowledge of Process Designer and experience working with Process Apps, Toolkits, Business Objects, Services, Service Flows, Client-side Human Services, and Coaches.
- Experience with server-side JavaScript in the BAW environment, including working with variables, UCAs, timers, and events.
- Experience integrating external services via REST/SOAP APIs, Java integrations, and database connections.
- Practical experience deploying applications and managing snapshots in Process Center, Process Server, or Workflow Center environments.
IBM Business Automation Manager Open Editions (BAMOE)
- Practical experience with IBM BAMOE or Red Hat Process Automation Manager, particularly with jBPM and Drools technologies.
- Knowledge of process modeling in BPMN 2.0 and creating decision rules using DMN/DRL.
- Experience with Business Central and KIE Server.
- Knowledge of Java, at least version 11.
General technical requirements
- At least 5 years of experience developing enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases such as DB2, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
- Practical experience with Git and knowledge of CI/CD principles.
- Experience with Jira.
- Professional-level Slovak or Czech and English sufficient for working with technical documentation.
Nice to have
- IBM certification in BAW or IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation.
- Experience deploying solutions on IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation, OpenShift, or Kubernetes, and managing containerized applications.
- Experience migrating process solutions between platforms, such as IBM BPM → BAW or BAW → BAMOE.
- Experience with public administration projects and knowledge of GDPR requirements for personal data protection and related security standards.
- Experience using AI assistants in software development.
