Project manager - Senior

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our client in the banking sector, based in Bratislava. This is a key role for a dynamic and driven individual who will be responsible for managing complex software development projects within an international environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage medium to large-scale projects within the banking and financial services sector

• Lead end-to-end project lifecycle – from initiation through planning, execution, monitoring, and closure

• Take ownership of project scope, budget, timelines, and resource planning

• Identify and manage project risks, propose mitigation strategies

• Coordinate cooperation between internal departments (Business, Development, Testing, Security, etc.)

• Ensure consistent and clear communication across all project stakeholders

• Monitor and control the quality and timeliness of project deliverables

• Regularly report project status and progress to senior management

• Ensure all project documentation is prepared and maintained in line with internal methodologies

• Evaluate regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable project activities

• Drive strategic decision-making where necessary

Candidate Profile:

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in project management, ideally within software development or IT consulting

• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies

• Experience with 3DS projects or within the banking sector is a strong advantage

• Fluent in English (C1); German language is a plus

• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills

• Customer-oriented mindset with a proactive approach

• Technical background or understanding of IT systems is highly valued
