General Description
As a Performance Test Lead, you will be responsible for the performance and stability of solutions. You will not merely run tests—you will set the strategy, identify weak points, uncover bottlenecks, and help teams get the most out of their systems.
You will connect the worlds of testing, development, architecture, and DevOps. Your results will have a direct impact on the quality and reliability of solutions.
What will you be doing?
- Design and manage the performance testing strategy.
- Define performance requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Prepare load, stress, endurance, spike, and scalability tests.
- Create and maintain performance test scenarios.
- Prepare test data and coordinate test environments.
- Execute and evaluate performance tests.
- Analyze response times, throughput, error rates, and infrastructure utilization.
- Identify bottlenecks and propose optimization measures.
- Integrate performance tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Prepare reports and dashboards.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, DevOps, and the project team.
- Lead, mentor, and provide methodological guidance to performance testers.
Requirements
We require at least 4 years of experience in performance testing.
- Experience with k6, JMeter, or Gatling; expert proficiency in at least one of them.
- Very good understanding of HTTP, REST API, authentication, and session/token flow.
- Ability to read metrics such as P95/P99 latency, throughput, and error rate.
- Experience with monitoring and APM, such as Grafana and Prometheus.
- Ability to analyze problems across the app–DB–infra layers.
- Experience with SQL and database tuning in Oracle, PostgreSQL, or Microsoft SQL Server environments.
- Ability to write clear performance reports for both technical and non-technical teams.
It is an advantage to have:
- Experience with Kubernetes or Docker.
- Experience integrating performance tests into CI/CD.
- Experience with AWS or Azure cloud environments.
- Experience with OpenTelemetry tracing or distributed tracing.
- Experience in the public sector or with SLA systems.
