Senior Azure Cloud Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer who will take technical responsibility for the management and development of the Microsoft Azure environment.

The role will involve operating cloud infrastructure, developing and integrating cloud services, and continuously improving the reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness of solutions. This position is suitable for an independent senior professional who can assess the existing environment, identify priorities, and deliver changes from design through deployment and documentation.

Requirements:

• Demonstrable experience independently managing and developing a production Microsoft Azure environment.
• Practical experience developing or integrating applications that use Azure services.
• Knowledge of Azure infrastructure, including networks, computing resources, storage, identities, and access management.
• Ability to diagnose problems across the application, configuration, network, and infrastructure.
• Experience with at least one programming language used in cloud solution development, such as C#, Python, or TypeScript.
• Ability to use scripting and tools such as PowerShell or Azure CLI for automation.
• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code, Git, and CI/CD principles.
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, backup, and recovery.
• Ability to independently design a solution, estimate its complexity, test it, and deploy it safely.
• A responsible approach to production changes and access permissions.
• Clear communication, high-quality documentation, and the ability to work within an agreed part-time capacity.

Advantageous:

• Experience securing cloud environments and evaluating security recommendations.

• Knowledge corresponding to the Azure Security Engineer specialization.
• Experience designing Azure solutions from requirements through production operations.
• Ability to assess trade-offs between availability, performance, security, costs, and operational simplicity.
• Experience with migrations, application modernization, or disaster recovery design.
• Ability to prepare a clear architectural design and defend the choice of services.
• Knowledge corresponding to the Azure Solutions Architect specialization.
• Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications.
