Java Backend Developer

Our client, a global leader in financial technology solutions, is looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer to join a team focused on credit card transaction processing. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, refactoring, and enhancement of backend systems, with a strong focus on security, stability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement technical solutions in collaboration with scrum masters, product owners, architects, and other engineers.
Contribute to architectural decisions, define technical specifications, and participate in the development and delivery of backend applications.
Stay up to date with emerging technologies, frameworks, tools, and best practices.
Ensure high code quality and compliance with coding standards and security practices (e.g., OWASP).
Execute the full development lifecycle, including unit, integration, and regression testing.
Implement monitoring and logging solutions for production environments.
Provide production support following the build it – own it principle.

Requirements:

For Medior level, we require at least 3 years of experience in Java programming.
For Senior level, we require at least 5 years of experience in Java programming and the ability to work independently.
Strong hands-on experience with backend technologies such as Spring Boot, Spring Web, REST APIs, and Kafka.
Proficient in Java 11+, with experience using Maven or Gradle.
Familiar with Shell scripting and Linux-based systems.
Experience with microservice architecture and working in AWS environments.
Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 or other security standards is a plus.
Skilled with development and CI/CD tools (e.g., IntelliJ/Eclipse, GitLab, JIRA, Confluence).
Understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
Knowledge of the payments industry (e.g., ISO8583, POS systems) is an advantage.
Strong communication and coordination skills, with fluent English.
Organized and analytical, with excellent problem-solving abilities
