We are looking for a skilled Java Developer to join our client's Fintech POS team. The role involves contributing significantly to implementing and documenting technical solutions, working alongside scrum masters, product owners, architects, and other engineers.
Primary Objectives:
- Support architectural direction, solution specification, development, implementation, and delivery of new and existing applications or services.
- Embrace emerging technologies and stay updated with new frameworks, tools, and programming languages.
- Ensure code quality, adhere to coding standards, and maintain secure code practices, including understanding OWASP.
- Execute development tasks in a modern delivery pipeline, including validation activities like unit, component, system integration, and regression testing.
- Create monitoring and logging solutions for enterprise applications in the production environment.
- Support developed solutions in production using a build it own it model.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing Java-based applications in an Agile environment.
- Full stack development experience is preferred.
- In-depth experience with back-end technologies such as Spring-Boot, Spring-Web, REST, Kafka.
- Experience with JAVA 11 or higher, Maven/Gradle.
- Experience with Shell-Script and Linux-based operating systems.
- Experience with micro-service architectures and AWS environment.
- Knowledge of Security-OWASP Top 10 is beneficial.
- Proficiency in runtime, build, and deployment technologies, as well as project tools like Eclipse, IntelliJ, GitLab, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Knowledge of modern database technologies (relational/non-relational).
- Understanding of the payments industry (ISO8583, POS, etc.) is ideal.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, capable of engaging with product owners, stakeholders, and technical representatives.
- Highly organized with strong problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English.
- 5 days onsite in office in Bratislava.
