Payment Expert

For our client operating in the banking and payment transaction processing environment, we are looking for a Payment Expert  to join their team in Bratislava. This role involves leading requirement discussions with clients and gathering business requirements from banks or financial institutions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Draft end-to-end merchant acquiring solutions for banks or financial institutions.
• Ensure successful implementation of merchant solutions through effective requirement gathering and solution identification.
• Analyze, research, and resolve functional queries from internal teams and third parties.
• Interact and communicate effectively with internal departments.
• Possess sound knowledge of acquiring solutions, platforms, systems, with technical knowledge as a plus.
• Act as a consultant, understanding system parameters and options.
• Identify systemic and business-impacting trends and escalate appropriately.
• Be flexible to travel and work at the client location in Vienna, Austria.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree from a renowned university or college.
• At least 5-6 years of experience in the payment card industry.
• Extensive SME functional knowledge in Merchant Acquiring Solutions, including payment gateway, authorization switches, scheme clearing & settlements, merchant pricing, interchange and scheme fees, financial reconciliations.
• Strong organizational, planning, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Analytical skills with an understanding of industry metrics and trends.
• Experience working on payment systems and understanding end-to-end merchant acquiring and payment solutions.
• Fluency in English 
• 5 days office presence in Bratislava.
• Additional preferred skills: German speaker, understanding of ECR integrations (ZVT, OPI), experience in the Austrian payment market.
