General Description
For a client in the banking sector, we are looking for a DevOps Team Lead who will be responsible for developing DevOps capabilities across the entire organization.
We are looking for a technically oriented leader who can lead people while also influencing how applications are designed, delivered, deployed, and operated within the bank. The team is responsible for key platforms and tools used by development teams across the organization – from the OpenShift container platform and CI/CD pipelines to DevSecOps tools and delivery process automation.
What will you be doing?
- Lead the DevOps team from a people, technical, and delivery perspective.
- Develop team members and support their growth.
- Set team priorities in cooperation with architecture, security, and application teams.
- Develop DevSecOps standards across the entire change delivery lifecycle.
- Oversee the development and operation of the OpenShift container platform.
- Coordinate the management and development of DevSecOps platform tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Nexus, SAST/DAST tools, and others.
- Support CI/CD pipeline automation and more efficient application deployment.
- Help teams onboard and operate applications on the OpenShift platform.
- Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate existing processes.
- Bridge the technical perspective with the needs of development teams, operations, security, and the business.
- Bring forward new ideas, technologies, and approaches that will advance the way software is delivered.
- Help establish standards, improve collaboration with development teams, and move the organization toward more modern, secure, and efficient software delivery.
Requirements
- Experience leading a technical team or demonstrated natural leadership in a technical environment.
- Knowledge of DevOps principles, CI/CD, and modern software delivery.
- Familiarity with container technologies, ideally OpenShift.
- Experience with tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Nexus, Ansible, Helm, or similar technologies.
- Understanding of DevSecOps, automation, monitoring, and observability.
- Ability to understand technical details while thinking in a systemic and strategic manner.
- Ability to set priorities, communicate expectations, and deliver results.
- A proactive approach, a desire to improve things, and the courage to change established practices.
- Ability to communicate with various types of stakeholders, from developers to management.
- Interest in developing people, team culture, and collaboration across the organization.
